Dwarka Temple
Dwarka Temple is dedicated to Hindu God Krishna and is located in the town of Dwarka in Gujarat State, India. Dwarka was the capital city of Lord Krishna’s Kingdom. Dwarka Temple is also known as Jagat Mandir (Temple of the Universe). This temple is one of the 4 temples that are a part of Char Dham Pilgrimage. The temple is more than 2000 years old and is considered very powerful by the devotees
Significance:
Dwarka Temple is one of the 4 temples that are a part of Char Dham Yatra. Hindus plan to visit these 4 shrines at least once in their lifetimes. Traditionally the journey starts at Jagannath Temple Puri, and goes clockwise to Rameshwaram Temple followed by Dwarka Temple and ending at Badrinath Temple
The original Dwarka Temple was built by none other than Vajranabha, Lord Krishna’s grandson. It was built right above Krishna’s residential place
A flag is hoisted atop the Dwarka Temple 5 times a day. Sun and moon are shown on the flag. Pilgrims and devotees compete with one another to pay for the flag. Special tailors are appointed to stitch the flag. The flag is taken around the Dwarka Temple by the donor before hoisting

Bet Dwarka – This is the actual place where Lord Krishna used to live. This island is around 28 kms from Dwarka and there are boats available to ferry people to this island
